The Change Management Foundations Certification is designed to equip candidates with the essential knowledge and understanding needed to effectively contribute as a formal and informal member of a team working on organizational change initiatives.

To help you acquire the sought-after skills required to become a competent manager of change within your organization, Melnyk Consultancy delivers training in the Change Management Practitioner (CMP) Certification Program as an Accredited Training Organization (ATO) in Canada.

Change Management certification is fully aligned with The Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK™).

In our change management course, you will learn how to implement change management, its tools and industry best practices, facilitated by Pauline Melnyk, an Accredited Trainer and Training Office for APMG International™ Change Management.

The textbook and pre-course material is sent to the candidate when you register. You should spend 4-6 hours on preparation prior to the course in order to get the most benefit from the training experience.
  • Day One: Foundations Getting Started
    • Introductions, course structure, goals, and objectives.
    • Understanding individual learning, personality types, and models of individual change.
    • Motivating individuals in change.
  • Day Two: Changes in the Organization
    • Exploring organizational metaphors, culture, and various models of change.
    • Key roles in change management.
    • Stakeholder identification, analysis, and influencing strategies.
  • Day Three: Communication and Impact
    • Effective communication in change, planning, factors, and barriers.
    • Identifying and assessing change impact, stakeholder impact, and severity assessments.
    • Building a change agent network, preparing the organization for change, and managing resistance.
  • Type: Multiple choice.
  • Sections: Four, totaling 50 questions.
  • Passing Mark: 50% (25 out of 50 marks).
  • Duration: 40 minutes.
  • Nature: Closed-book.

This certification is a prerequisite for the APMG Practitioner certification, paving the way for advanced learning in change management.
